Episode 17
"Grandmother's Flavour"
What did people think?
The episode was somewhat anticlimactic to me.
Despite his claims in the previous episode to see the end of Decade in Kabuto's world, Narutaki didn't seem to do anything.
I'm particularly curious about what folks think of Tsukasa, as he seems to swing between being a dunce to actually being wise and clever. Bad writing, or a set-up for a disturbing twist at series' end?
Also, does anyone yet have any sort of explanation for how the main cast seem to know what world they're in, and a bit about the monsters they may be facing at the start of each arc? I still can't see that this has been explained anywhere...

I agree entirely that half the time it would make no difference if Tsukasa wasn't there. I would have no issue with Yuusuke taking over, frankly, but half the time even he just seems to stand around for no apparent reason.
I'm also still unclear on why no-one has an issue with Kivala being around, even though Natsumi saw her with Narutaki!
As for the Clock Up-iness... I don't know. I almost cried, but then realised Mayu didn't really interest me, and as we'd only seen Souji for a few moments (and I've not seen Kabuto) I couldn't get too attached.
Why did they -have to- destroy the Clock Down thing? I think, secretly, Souji WANTS to stay away from Mayu, and Decade picked up on that. :P ;)

Yuusuke standing around is more interesting than Tsukasa standing around. I don't know. I think even a mysterious semi-amnesiac should leave some impression on me. Daiki is just as mysterious, and I have a grasp of what he does with himself in his offscreen time. It's not painful watching Tsukasa, but it really does annoy me I can't figure out what makes him tick as a character yet.
