Kamen Rider Decade Episode 17

Kamen Rider DCD
Episode 17
"Grandmother's Flavour"

What did people think?

The episode was somewhat anticlimactic to me.

Despite his claims in the previous episode to see the end of Decade in Kabuto's world, Narutaki didn't seem to do anything.

I'm particularly curious about what folks think of Tsukasa, as he seems to swing between being a dunce to actually being wise and clever. Bad writing, or a set-up for a disturbing twist at series' end?

Also, does anyone yet have any sort of explanation for how the main cast seem to know what world they're in, and a bit about the monsters they may be facing at the start of each arc? I still can't see that this has been explained anywhere...

It made me cry because I'm a sap.

My issue with this episode was Clock Up. Worms do Clock Up, right? So Mayu and Souji could meet up and have superfast tea and cookies together, right? My tears were not caused by anything logical.

Narutaki seems to like threatening more than doing.

I don't know about Tsukasa. Sometimes I like him, but often it wouldn't make much of a difference if he wasn't there. Not that it can't be bad writing, but I think better acting would really really help.

I think in Kabuto itself Tendou seemed to prefer protecting people from afar, but my memory of the series is a bit fuzzy. I'm a sap for siblings, really.

Yuusuke standing around is more interesting than Tsukasa standing around. I don't know. I think even a mysterious semi-amnesiac should leave some impression on me. Daiki is just as mysterious, and I have a grasp of what he does with himself in his offscreen time. It's not painful watching Tsukasa, but it really does annoy me I can't figure out what makes him tick as a character yet.

Well, they had to destroy the clock down system I guess else Kabuto won't be able to use his clock up (while the worm still could use his). It gonna be troublesome also if later they went up and not destroying the thing and then getting pwn-ed by the worm. (I still can't wipe the image from earlier episode.. XD)

- well... perhaps it's just popped up in Tsukasa's head like... "This is [Insert Rider]'s world"... or "This world's monster is called [Insert monster]" XDDD.

On Narutaki... he probably expects that the worms gonna finish him up with their Clock-up ability. And he also probably betting on Tsukasa not knowing what to do to counter that...
